NYLO to Coogan’s

1. From the hotel corner on Broadway, walk uptown (to the right) to 79^th Street.
   
2. Use the uptown subway entrance, on the same side of Broadway as the hotel.
3. Purchase a Metrocard from a vending machine in the station.*
4. Ride in a middle car, not at either end.
5. Take the No. 1 train to 168^th Street.
   
6. Cross the bridge over the tracks, and take an elevator up to street level.
7. Exit the station and take the steps to the right, to 168^th Street and Broadway.
8. Walk one block on Broadway (passing Starbuck’s) to Coogan’s.

NYLO to NYSPI Pardes Auditorium

1. From the hotel corner on Broadway, walk uptown (to the right) to 79^th Street.
   
2. Use the uptown subway entrance, on the same side of Broadway as the hotel.
3. Purchase a Metrocard from a vending machine in the station.*
4. Ride in a middle car, not at either end.
5. Take the No. 1 train to 168^th Street.
   
6. Cross the bridge over the tracks, and take an elevator up to street level.
7. Exit the station and take the steps to the right, to 168^th Street and Broadway.
8. Walk along 168^th Street, passing the large hospital buildings to the left. The block ends at Fort Washington Avenue.
9. Cross Fort Washington Avenue and continue onto Haven Avenue, which curves to the right.
10. Look for the third large, red brick building on the left, 40 Haven Avenue, The Kolb Research Laboratories of the New York State Psychiatric Institute.
11. Use the visitor entrance, and tell the Safety Officer that you are attending the meeting in the auditorium.
12. Turn right in the Kolb lobby: do not use the Kolb elevators. You will pass a large area used for our poster sessions.
13. Continue walking across the bridge to the Pardes building, 6^th floor.
    
14. Take the elevator to the 1^st floor lobby, where you will see the SLTBR registration desk and auditorium entrances.

NYSPI to Artie’s

1. From the Kolb building exit on Haven Avenue (see 10, above), continue to the subway station on 168^th Street and Broadway.
2. Take an elevator down to the tracks. Remain on the elevator side of the tracks for a downtown train: do not cross the bridge to the uptown side.
3. Exit at the 86^th Street stop. You will be on the west side of Broadway (opposite to the hotel side).
4. Cross Broadway to the east side of the street.
5. Turn right on Broadway (in the downtown direction) and walk 3 blocks to Artie’s.

Artie’s to NYLO

Walk 6 blocks left (in the downtown direction) from Artie’s to 77^th Street and Broadway, and you’ll be home!

*Subway Metrocard information

• Purchase a multi-ride card (Pay-Per-Ride, not Unlimited Ride) @ $2.75 per ride. Carry some cash ($10 or $20 bills) in case the machine does not recognize your card from Europe.
• For the meeting alone, you will need 6 rides; you get an 11% discount with a 10-ride card. Keep your empty card to refill, otherwise there is a $1 charge for a new card.
• You may need to practice swiping the card at the turnstiles: if you swipe too fast or too slow, the turnstile will not open. Swipe in one smooth, “confident” motion. The screen will say Go. Good luck!
